Learning to 3d Modeling again – Day 2

Finally getting the hang of it. Watching basic of blender videos on youtube. Following Blender Guru and blender Binge.

Moving in 3d space and unlearning 3ds max hotkeys… hard 😦 I can believe my hands still remember the shortcut. It’s been 10 years. Blender 2.9 is awesome. The interface is very user friendly. It’s so customizable.

Personal Budget Management App – Concept

Idea:

Connect / Intranet

Purpose: Organizational Goals

Provide a platform to communicate corporate vision, build online communities/team, share team success stories and provide essential services/information to current employees.

Connect is an internal site that provides a platform to build online communities/teams, share information but employees have often shared their frustrations when using Connect due to poor design and lack off engaging content.

Usage: User Goals

  • Get current company information – Stocks and Company Events
  • Access benefits – Health, 401K
  • Human resources and other company documents
  • Participate in online community
  • Learn about HS, organization, culture, leadership, sites, mission and goals
  • Signup for Health benefits
  • See what’s cooking in Cafe
  • Access Holiday Schedule
  • Access My Department assets

Research

I am currently in process of evaluating Connect’s UI/UX and conducting user interviews. Which are done in-person and through an online survey to gather information. So far from the information collected and screens from current site I have created a rough wire-frame and new logo.
